Our Suspension services include:
Air suspension is used in place of conventional steel springs in heavy vehicle applications such as buses and trucks. It is broadly used on semi-trailers. The purpose of air suspension is to provide a smooth, constant ride quality. Modern electronically controlled systems almost always feature self-leveling along with raising and lowering functions. Although traditionally called air bags or air bellows, the correct term is air spring (although these terms are also used to describe just the rubber bellows element with its end plates). Trust the experts at Eriksen's 131 when your truck's air bag suspension needs service, repair, or replacement. Call us at 231-549-3333 to schedule an appointment.
Suspension equalizers are an effective aftermarket innovation for rear leaf suspensions. The equalizers are designed to aid in the carrying ability of your truck. Equalizers have the following advantages: fuel economy, increased safety, increased power, reduced tire wear, improved steering, and improved braking.
Most equalizer kits include U-bolts, Equalizer Bars, Shackle Plates, Greasable Bolts, Rollers, Spring Washers, Washers, U-bolt Plates, and Nylon Locking Nuts. For all your suspension equalizer needs, visit or call Eriksen's 131 in Boyne Falls, MI 49713 today.
Hangers are an effective way to enhance your truck's driving stability, handling, and suspension response. Hangers lower your truck's center of gravity, protecting it from rollovers in turns and corners and help you modify your truck's ground clearance. Whether you want to lower or raise your truck using hangers, call 231-549-3333 or visit Eriksen's 131 today.
Shock absorbers are mechanical devices designed to smooth out shock impulses, thus reducing the effects of traveling over rough roads. Shocks convert kinetic energy that is formed when a vehicle travels over rough ground into another form of energy.
With shocks, you will be able to take your truck to places you never thought possible. Shocks work together with springs (they damp spring oscillations) to give your truck the best overall performance and the ability to carry the maximum load. For all your shock servicing, shock repairs and shock replacement needs, call or visit Eriksen's 131 today.
Torque Arms & Walking Beams
A torque arm is a metal arm attached between a drive axle and the vehicle's frame. Torque arms prevent axle rotation in hub motors. It prevents the wheels from trying to rotate the axle relative to the vehicle's frame under acceleration (or in the opposite direction during braking).
A walking beam is an oscillating lever that pivots on a central axis and uses internal cam technology to transmit linear stroke in two directions (produces a reciprocating or reversible motion).
For all your torque arm and walking beam servicing needs, visit Eriksen's 131 in Boyne Falls, MI 49713.

What People Say About Us
This place is amazing! I used hate getting my car worked on, because I never knew if I could trust the person, but Ericksen's is the complete opposite. Every time I've gotten anything fixed there, it's much more reasonably priced than the competition. I have a very limited knowledge of cars, and I've been to mechanics who want to replace multiple parts on the car when I hear one little noise, either because they're taking a shot in the dark or just simply because they want to make a buck. I had gotten used to one noise costing hundreds of dollars. There have been times where Ericksen's has looked at my car when I thought something might be off and they tell me there's nothing wrong. It's like magic, because there really is nothing wrong when I leave. When there is something wrong, they fix it right the 1st time for much less than I've paid for the same parts in the same parts at other places in the past.
I needed rear brakes after my emergency brake hung up and fried the pads and rotors. I was from out of town and on vacation so I did a Google maps search and found these guys. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price. I wish they had a branch in my hometown.
Always friendly, communicates very well, and most importantly does
good work. Have been there a number of times and am always
satisfied. Give big Scott a try. You will not be disappointed.
We had a tire issue and they went out of their way to fix it, nice as can be, highly recommended.
I highly recommend this repair shop if you are from out of town and on vacation. Our trucks front wheel bearing went out coming into town and the crew at Eriksen's 131 had me in and out in less then 90 minutes.
While on vacation, my car suddenly wouldn't start. I called around to five different garages, and nobody had any openings. One place said he couldn't see my car for two weeks!
When I called Eriksen's -- it was slightly farther from where I was located -- Scott said he could at least take a look at the car that day, and he recommended a towing company. The tow truck operator, Kevin, arrived within the hour, and my car was fixed and ready within 3 hours, despite Eriksen's lot loaded with other customers.
The price was fair and reasonable, and everybody involved was extremely helpful. Highly recommend Eriksen's!
Scott is amazing with his work on cars. He works on my whole family's and has for years.
